Rather than the 3rd party program why not use:

This was announced/demoed in a limited way a while back — had occasion to reference it in a support ticket recently, so here’s the text from that: We have a halftone generator which will accept black and white images, so you will need to convert any image into a black and white picture. That has nothing to do with why i asked. I’m talking about photovcarve designs using carbide create

PhotoVcarve is a 3rd party tool with a proprietary file format — there isn’t a way to load files from it into Carbide Create as such.

It might be possible to export an SVG from it, but that would be cut in Carbide Create as any SVG would.

If a pixel image depth map can be exported, that could be loaded into Carbide Create Pro.

However, if one has this 3rd party tool, why use Carbide Create?

In the Vectric product there are Sketch Carving and Sketch engraving toolpaths. In my opinion, they are nearly worthless. That said…this is how you extract vectors from it. Run the sketch and make your background white. Make the toolpath black. Eliminate any views that tint the screen. Run the simulation and take a copy with windows snipping tool. New Job. Paste the toolpath into the 2d window and trace. Export vector in preferred format. Done.
