PhotoVcarve is a 3rd party tool with a proprietary file format ā there isnāt a way to load files from it into Carbide Create as such.
It might be possible to export an SVG from it, but that would be cut in Carbide Create as any SVG would.
If a pixel image depth map can be exported, that could be loaded into Carbide Create Pro.
However, if one has this 3rd party tool, why use Carbide Create?
In the Vectric product there are Sketch Carving and Sketch engraving toolpaths. In my opinion, they are nearly worthless. That saidā¦this is how you extract vectors from it. Run the sketch and make your background white. Make the toolpath black. Eliminate any views that tint the screen. Run the simulation and take a copy with windows snipping tool. New Job. Paste the toolpath into the 2d window and trace. Export vector in preferred format. Done.
