Pink Lines to Black Lines / Boolean or?

Guys that Know this stull:!
I have had horrific time trying to learn this ? have spent hour’s on it and it just will not come to this OLD mind.? a little help would be nice. I just want to cut out the 4 inside radius it is for a part for a “BIG” vice for my little 3020 router. I would like to get the outside radius to get just a little bit more travel on the vice bed a little help would be nice.?

Start by ungrouping, so that only the elements which you wish to may be sected:

Then identify:

select

and delete redundant elements:

which will then allow selecting the open geometry:

and use “Join Vectors” to close things:

Repeat elsewhere:

Carbide Create doesn’t really offer that sort of control — you can fake it by using Node editing to cut the geometry and using a Contour toolpath to control direction of cut or by rotating/flipping the part if its symmetrical.

Something like:

right-click

Cut Vector

repeat:

Cut Vector

Done

Node Edit again:

drag-select and right-click

Done

Go into Toolpaths:

adjust settings as desired — I believe you’d want your desired Max Depth then

Set Depth per Pass to just a hair more than 1/4th that value.

Ideally you’d be using a newer version and would be able to control the simulation to see entry/exit point and so forth — if it’s not as wanted:
