I am running a job and I have several toolpaths. The first 4 are using the same tool. but the job stops between the toolpaths saying “Please load new tool”.
Why is is asking me to load a new tool when I have the same tool selected on the next toolpath?
It does not tell me a tool number to load. Example: tool number “3145”. I have a “3145” loaded in the tool file in the first column of the CSV file. I have attached the tool file.
The file is located in this folder:
4.C:\Users\brian\AppData\Local\Carbide 3D\Carbide Create\tools
Custom tools never show the type of tool only the tool number. the builtin tools from C3D do show the type tool but they wrote the software and have control over it. The user custom tool database they have no control over. The lack of a tool description has been brought up many times. Put a printed list next to your Shapeoko to help remember what each tool number is.
Guy, I do not agree with what you are saying. I have other custom tool files that work just fine. I assign the tool “NUMBER” in the first field of the CSV file and they work fine. The way I understood it, that is the way it was designed to work. IDC Woodcraft+Shapeoko+Any - Copy.zip (1.4 KB)
Sorry, my first post I was not able to upload the CSV file so I only mentioned the path of the files.
Now attached is a compressed file with the file that works(Starts with IDC file) and the file that does not work (Starts with Temo).
