Probing Cycle Failed

Hey All,

I got my touch probe connected to my XXL this morning, it has a 2.4 board which i connected to per the instructions. I grounded the alligator clip with the board cover screw( between the board cover and heatsink). Probe LED lights up green and turns red when i touch the alligator clip to it, seems to be working as expected.

After homing the machine and moving into position, when i try to start the probing cycle I get an error on carbide motion saying “Probing Cycle Failed” after a few seconds. During this time there is no movement of the machine.

I copied some of the log for reference below, it looks like it is giving me an “ALARM: 4” fault which i looked up to be;
_"“ALARM:4” : (“Probe fail. The probe is not in the expected initial state before starting probe cycle, where G38.2 and G38.3 is not triggered and G38.4 and G38.5 is triggered.”),"

Any ideas what might be wrong?

Having the same issue; any solution?

My issue was that the connector on my board was soldered on backwards so the solution for me was to flip the connector on the probe(ie plug it in but don’t use the locking mechanism on the connectors)
