Problem installing Bit setter

I’ve been emailing back and forth with carbide support. I bought a bitsetter for my Shapeoko 3 Xxl. It don’t work. It stops when starting to prob the bitsetter, about an inch down and stops. Says prob not in expected initial location. I then plugged it directly into the PCB without the splitter ( for using bit zero with bitsetter). Still got the same result. So that system alone is an issue. Also the bit zero gets the same result when plugged into the splitter but works fine when plugged into the PCB. The splitter and bitsetter is the issue…. Somehow. Thoughts? Or should just consider it lesson learned.

I don’t see an open ticket under your e-mail address (please edit your account profile to hide that).

And the closed tickets indicate we sent you a replacement BitSetter switch.

My recommendation would be to unplug everything, then plug things up systematically, powering up and testing after each step and documenting what happens.

Please note that if you have proximity switches you can bypass the PCB Splitter by plugging one accessory into the Reserved header and the other into the P(robe) input on the PCB Expansion Adapter. Please try that.

Let us know the complete specifics of what you find out by systematic testing at support@carbide3d.com and we will do our best to get this resolved as soon as possible.
