Problem with editing model components in 3D Pro

This has been a chronic problem since I’ve had CCPro V8. When I go back and edit a component or heightmap one of the three checkboxes may or may not be checked. Sometimes I can uncheck it and sometimes not. Seems to happen at random but requires me to exit and re-enter the “Edit Component” page to get to the original configuration. (Note: The youtube video linked is my first go at using OBS recording)

Which specific version, and which operating system?

Video says 855.

I am moving this to Feature Request | Carbide Create and hopefully we can look into it in a future version since I was able to replicate it in 857.

I’ve also filed a bug report on this.

Yes, 855. Thanks Will et. al.

not op, but regarding versions, I’ve experienced this issue over the years since the modeling tools launched. I’ve just gotten in the habit of recreating instead of editing

I didn’t see the version anywhere in the video

I think I’ve just come to understand that any significant change in the model means creating the components from scratch, and updating the toolpaths…
I get that the modeler is creating heightmap data from primatives or input data, so it makes sense that a lack of associativity means create them again.

The phantom-checkbox changes occur randomly when re-entering the “Edit Component” module after the original model is imported whether or not a subsequent change is made. Also, checked-boxes sometimes persist and cannot be unchecked. It is release 855 and Windows OS.

Yeah, this has been an on and off problem, which to be honest, I haven’t seen for a while. But it has returned to 855, windows.

I have also dealt with this, over the years.
