Problem with nut spacing on Pro 5 Table

I’m getting ready to start my first tiling project. I made @SLCJedi great tiling fence as seen here.

When I went to install it I discovered that the hold down nuts could not slide into the slot as Josh was showing. The area was too narrow. When I looked on the right side of the table, the spacing was 1.25mm wide between the black and the silver horizontals. On the left side I can’t put my fingernail into the space (see pics below). Any thoughts on what I need to do to fix this? (always something, it seems!)

1.25mm space

No space though it looks like there is. And that is far as the nut slides into the space. It won’t slide into the back side.

It’s a big pain, but have you tried removing all of your MDF filler strips, then loosening all the Hybrid T-track hardware, inserting nuts at each end of all the tracks, then randomly tightening things, checking that the nuts can still be moved as you go?

Then reinstall the MDF.

I have not, but I will! Whatever it takes to get it usable.

And thanks!

Check your squaring after you really button it down.

I would just trim down the number of T-nuts you need. Sand or grind them down to fit, the M6 bolt should clear easily. Allot less work than loosening the table to adjust the gap. Especially if your table is square……

I spent some time squaring my table when assembled. I was happy to see upgraded rails until I realized what I had to do to swap them out!! :joy: :upside_down_face:
