Proximity sensors...suitable sub

Is there an after market source for the proximity sensors that are used on these machines? Im still waiting on C3D to get back to me to replace one. I was thinking if I can buy them in bulk to have on hand when one fails. They seems to fail more often than I would like. I hate to be stuck trying to do a project waiting on C3D to respond.

thx for any info

Which machine do you need them for?

We have them in our shop for the SO3:

and SO4/Pro:

Yep…Shapeoko 3. I have to make this 20 characters! Ive tried calling, getting in the que…waiting for a callback. I could not find the individual sensors when I looked. Of course, I could be a little blind.

thx

I have it ordered…thx Will

There are some parts that C3D sells that seem to be rather hidden. Individual model parts are available if you know where they are hidden. Otherwise you have to contact support to get them ordered. Maybe they should update their site to include parts. To get warranty parts you have to go through support to get them free but many machines are out of warranty and you know what you want.

found that out…this time I book marked them for future use. Im pretty sure I have my issue narrowed down to a Z axis limit switch. Its kinda funny but I did call the TS phone line and got put in the Que yesterday. I still have not heard anything. It would have been nice to confirm my suspicion but I feel pretty good about it. ordered from C3D and also ordered limit switches from Ebay. You can get 10 for like 20 bucks. I just hope they fit this application. If not it’s only 20 dollars…nice to have them in house when you need them.

You could swap that proximity switch for another one to see if the problem follows the location or the switch.

Thats what I did and the issue followed the switch…

Bought some of the above…I hope they will work. If not it was only 22 dollars for 10. It will be nice to have spares.
