I finished assembly of my new SO4 XXL today and started the electronics setup. I can’t get past the initialize step, i get an error code saying it can’t find the limit switch - GRBL Alarm 9.
The X and Z limit switches react when I put a wrench on them, but nothing on the Y switch. Will this cause the machine to not work at all? I can’t get anything to move.
I have a call into support on another question but now it’s late Friday afternoon so who knows when I’ll get a response.
Check to make sure the harness is on the correct terminal on the PC board and that it is plugged in properly and then check all the connectors for that harness. Inspect the pins on the connectors and see what happens / find.

Anthony - a poor connection was the issue. I double checked all and solved the problem. Seems the Z motor wasn’t moving, so it never made the limit switch. I guess if the initialization step detects an error it stops. Worked fine now.
