I have a shapeoko 3 unit and I wish to expand it to a full 4x4 or larger table area does anyone know the exact aluminum rail and where to get it for this machine?
The correct way to do this is to sell the SO3 and purchase an SO5 Pro.
The extrusion is proprietary to Carbide 3D, and we pay to have it extruded and cut to length for our machines.
Some folks have worked around this in various ways, but it’s a lot of effort and the return is uncertain, and if one wishes to have a Carbide 3D machine, the expedient option is the sell/buy one.
