Not a full Write up …
This is likely possible on other models but I did some searching.
I’ve been using a app called “piapps”
Using a current install of PIOS 64, I use PI Imager to build the boot SD card.
User:
Pi
Password:
Raspberry
Post install I went to piapps and used wget to install it
*note the following took about 3 hours.
From piapps I installed Box86
From piapps I installed Box64
From piapps I installed Wine
Next I downloaded Carbide Create v7 and opened it with Wine.
Then I downloaded Carbide Create v8 and opened it with Wine.
I then searched for Carbide Motion Pi and downloaded the CM635.deb file
In downloads I right clicked and chose install.
Results Carbide Create 7& 8 running in Wine
Carbide Motion 635 running on PiOS (64)
Note- test files saved to the desktop can not be seen in Carbide Motion. I created a folder on the Desktop called my_files, then changed access permissions to Anyone for everything. Saving files there I can see and use them in Carbide Motion.
I also installed from piapps the following
Rustdesk
Obsidian
Angeryipscanner
Brave Browser
Enjoy!
