Does anyone know if there is a plan to add raster pocketing to Carbide Create Pro, i love the software as its so intuitive but think this is one essential bit its missing, i have had to move to Vectric Cut 2D for this but don’t really like the software overall. I know you can do a work around in CC but its not as straight forward as Cut 2D

I have not seen anything official about it being planned. Til then the usual workaround is to draw the raster yourself: a zigzag polyline across the pocket at your stepover spacing, run it as a contour toolpath with no offset, then one finishing pass around the boundary to clean the walls. Where raster clearing really pays off is large flat areas, since all the tool marks run the same direction the floor looks much more even. On small pockets the difference is mostly cosmetic.
We’re open to adding this, but if you’re doing it for the more even finish, you still have the perimeter being run in whatever direction it needs to. Is that not a problem?
