Reasking: Any documentation / videos on upgrading to Z-Plus?

All of the ZPlus topics seem to have closed being older than 30 days…so I’m reopening the thread.

I’m considering upgrading my XXL with the ZPlus when it becomes available, but would love to see a document or video on what it takes to upgrade it. Winston’s video describing the “Why” of ZPlus is great to whet the appetite, but I’d really like to know what the process is for upgrading the sensors and spindle, what the ZPlus comes with, how to configure the software, etc.

I"m also guessing that my SuckIt dust boot won’t work with it…does anyone know that for certain? Will I need to move to the Sweepy?

Just answering my own question: I checked with the Suck-It site and they do not support the ZPlus. Therefore, if I upgrade to the ZPlus, I’ll need to throw away my $120 suckit and purchase a $30 Sweepy. Weighing that $150 waste against a $250 part.

Any other thoughts on this?

And while I’m thinking about this, how about my SuckIt mounted JTech laser? Will I have to replace that too?

The suckit can be adapted. You may need spacers, extensions, custom mounts, or something, but it’s a solvable problem. Maybe wait to see how the Z plus does one it’s an upgrade possibility and let some of the early adopters tackle that.

Adapting it might be an option. I don’t mind being a guinea pig when it comes to technology.

Mine came with a separate instruction booklet for the Zplus. i could scan it and email it to you?
