Refinding the XY zero

I have a 3XXL. I was making a sign with a pocket hole and a VCarve file. I did the pocket hole and when I to the Vcarve my machine malfunctioned during my Vcarve file and I had to change over to a newer laptop and updated my Carbide Motion software. I have not moved my workpiece but my XY is different now so how can I reestablish the previous XY zero so I can finish the sign?

If the original corner or feature you used to zero is gone, cut away, Find a point in the design that is easy to pick up.

Now using a V bit, pick up that point, and set the X & Y values accordingly.

If just the top surface is gone, but the original edges are there, touch off a tool to the front & left edges, and set the XY values to the negative radius of the cutter. For a 1/4" tool, set X -0.125, Y-0.125
