Resizing initial stock size

Create Ver7…
How do I adjust (resize) the job setup parameters after I have begun creating the project and determine I need to use a larger or smaller size of material?

Deselect everything, then go to Job Setup (gear icon) and make the desired changes.

I often change my material size and thickness. One thing that helps is several new features in V6 and V7. The most useful is when you make through contour/pocket cuts is instead of entering “Use Stock Bottom” is the letter “t” (without the quotes). In v7 when you use the t in tool paths and you change the stock size in height all you have to do is save the tool paths and the new height is included in the tool paths. If you use “Use Stock Bottom” the current stock height is read and input in the tool path. So if you change the stock thickness you have to update each tool path manually you used “Use Stock Bottom” manually to get the new stock height incorporated into the gcode. Using the t in the cuts that go all the way through makes life simpler for the user to not have to remember going back and editing each tool path that cuts all the way through. I like simple.

Another feature is when creating circles. In earlier CC versions you had to enter the radius. In v7 if you want a 3/4" circle simply enter .75/2 (.75 divided by 2). The radius is calculated and entered eliminating errors in changing from diameter to radius. This feature also keeps me from having to open the calculator to get the radius.

If you make your stock bigger or smaller than you may have to go back and adjust alignment manually. Unfortunately if you have a stock that 10" x 5" and change to 8" x 4" the objects do not stay centered if you had them centered. The objects stay where they are but the stock may shift on the screen and the objects may no longer where you want them.
