REST Cuts for Contours

I am a big fan of the new REST feature for pockets. Saves considerable time. Any way to do a similar function for contours? I need to cut out a number of Christmas trees. A set takes 21minutes with a 1/8" mill but would only take 4 with a 1/4" - but you lose the detail. Seem if you could do a “reverse REST” e.g. use a 1/8" to cut out the tight inside corners and then finish with the 1/4" that could be a huge time saver. Thoughts?

@rob can say for certain but I’m fairly positive he mentioned somewhere else that it’s on the road map.
Though I could be wrong.

It is a great feature, agreed!

As a workaround until they add rest-milling for contours. (or if you don’t have PRO)…

I offset this shape 1/8", then created a 1/8" Radius circle at each point that would need to be rest-milled.
Create the teardrop shape into each corner. Now instead of machining the whole profile, just contour the teardrops with the 1/8" cutter.
With the same depth of cut & feedrate, the full contour was 11 minutes, and just contouring the teardrops was 2 minutes.

You can even trim the teardrops using the original offset to force the 1/8" tool to start away from the corner.
