I have a 1/32 Ball 5 Degree Taper Carving Bit (https://bitsbits.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=102_183&products_id=906)
How should I enter this into CC? My first thought would be that it needs to be a V bit so I can specify the 5 degree taper. Is that correct?

Unfortunately, Carbide Create doesn’t support such endmill geometry. You have two options:
- enter as a ball-nosed and risk the taper running into less angled features
- enter as a V endmill and accept that the radius of the endmill won’t be cut and set Z-origin in a way to make up for that.
