Router jumps in X-Axis when initializing, travels no problem in Y and Z, all switches light up but the router stays in one place and chatters

Router chatters in X Axis when initializing, all switches light up and gantry travels in Y axis and Z Axis is also normal.

If this is not a new machine check the pulley and belt tension. Also check your v-wheels.

If you start with the router in the center of the machine, launch initialization and then manually trigger the X switch (pushing it if it’s a mechanical switch, or bringing a piece of metal in front of it if it is a proximity switch) while the router is moving to the right towards it, does X travel stop ? (you will likely get a homing error, but that test is for the purpose of confirming that the X switch works correctly)

If it does, it’s probably a matter of minor mechanical adjustment of the X switch position such that it triggers a bit before the X/Z plate contacts the right Y plate

Hi Julien,
Yes it does stop travelling when I activate the X acid proximity switch. Maybe I’ll check more mechanical things this morning, if you have any tips that would be great.
Thanks

I don’t have any specific tips beyond visually checking how the X prox switch is mounted and whether the plates are likely to collide before the X/Z plate enters the detection area of the switch. If you can readjust the position of the switch such that it triggers a bit earlier (i.e. push it to the left slightly), that may be enough.

If that doesn’t work, maybe try and capture a video of the failed homing and provide a link here, so that we can have a look.

I talked with support and we determined it’s probably a diver on the PCB, I ordered a nee one and I also ordered the Z Axis upgrade.
Thanks for all your help.
