RTL support for text

Carbide Create does not support RTL on a Mac well.
The Mac OS handles the string translation well when seen at the Text entry form when inserting text. However the renders text on the canvas is not transformed RTL.
It seems the software does not use the standard libraries for supporting RTL languages. I tried to use Hebrew, but I assume the problem exists for Arabic as well.

I’m afraid that Carbide Create isn’t properly internationalized. It can’t use commas as a decimal separator, and accents in tool or group names cause the same sort of problem you’re seeing here. Please limit yourself to 7-bit ASCII when naming files, tools, or groups. Even then, don’t use special characters such as apostrophes.

The work-around here is to set the text in an application which does support RTL, then (after saving a copy which preserves the text-as-text) converting the type to geometry (in Inkscape this would be Path | Object to Path). The geometry then may be imported into Carbide Create as an SVG or DXF file.
