Running Carbide Create Pro AND Lightburn from one device

I’m currently using a Shapeoko PRO XXL with CC Pro, but I’m now adding an Omtech 60W laser and plan to use Lightburn. My question is… I have a laptop in my shop that handles the simple functions of CC, and can easily add Lightburn, but I’m curious if there would be issues running both programs so I could run the machines simultaneous? Worst case, I design and use a USB thumb drive for the laser, but was curious if anyone has tried this before?

Do you mean running your Shapeoko using CarbideMotion while simultaneously running your laser machine using Lightburn? It should work since CM only connects to devices it recognizes as Carbide3d machines anyway, and Lightburn talks to a specific serial port of your choosing

Exactly. On rare occasion I’ve had CarbideMotion crash when playing with the computer while milling so I wasn’t sure if there would be issues with Lightburn running as well.
