Hello guys,
Im new with you guys and I just got a Pro 5, build 654 with VFD…
I’m trying to cut a higher speed than 16950 but the drive seems to but stuck a this max speed.
I’m asking for fastest but it won’t go there.
I’ve tried to redo the config by removing the check box that some of you said but… problem still there !
Anything that I should do in the drive ? Didn’t anywhere the manual of the drive itself …
Help me with it.
Thanks

In carbide motion, try this command
M3 is the command to start the spindle
8000 is the speed you want
M3 S8000
M3 S24000

Did you configure for a VFD or BitRunner in the Setup Wizard?

How did you observe this issue?
Was it a toolpath set at higher speeds?
What happens if you run the Spindle Warmup Quick Action?
When its gets to the 18000 up to 24000 RPM what does status and VFD show?
With the command, the drive is reaching the 24000 rpm … so this is not the drive I guess
Yes I did, two times and nothing changed
I’m using Fusion 360 and I’m asking 18000…19000… and the drive is not reaching the value, always stuck at the same value 16950
Just tried in the command prompt and it’s reaching the 24000 by sending manually the M3 S240000

The command is : S18000 M3 in the GCode…
I don’t understand why manually it’s working but not when I’m running the file

Try making an equivalent file in Carbide Create — if it also has this problem, check in w/ the folks at support@carbide3d.com
humm I’ll try it, did really tried Carbide Create since the pro cost something and I was already well in control with F360 (using it to create 3D parts)
Thanks for your help Will

Yves, On est plusieurs personne ici a avoir ce problème. Quand je demande 18000 par Carbide Create, ma Spindle tourne aussi dans les 16500 comme toi. Pour avoir 18000, je demande 20000 a mon logiciel.
Yves, several of us here are having this problem. When I request 18000 using Carbide Create, my Spindle also runs at around 16500, just like yours. To get 18000, I have to request 20000 from my software.
This what we call in IT a “Known issue”, not a bug.

well well well, thanks for the info. I’ll look at it and push up my spindle speed to reach what I would like to get.
Did you tried a manual G4 Pxxxx in the Gcode to create a delay ??
Merci pour ton aide ! …
En passant, lâche pas tes vidéos c’est super … un gars de la Montérégie qui te suit !

Never tried G4 P…
I don’t touch GCode, the software does it all for me.
Merci de me suivre, moi aussi Montérégie - Les Cèdres.
Ok, I’ve tried different things.
Send command …
M3 S23999 and speed is 22380
M3 S24000 and speed is 24000
Tried the Spindle Warmup
on S12000 it was 11610
on S18000 it was 16980
on S24000 it was 24000
“connection”: 5 versus 6 ? … Anybody knows the diff. ?
Oh yes, I’ve tried a pause after the speed command, didn’t anything
And yes the BitRunner = false in config
