After returning to CNC after 4 months absence, I am unable to complete initialization successfully. “Z axis ERROR” displayed and program quits. X and Y axis never moves but Z axis travels downward driving cutter into spoilboard. Had to remove router to remove cutter. Still unable to complete initialization. Machine never moves but makes a continual vibration noise as if jammed against limits.
It sounds like Carbide Motion isn’t properly set up. Zee should go up when you initialize the machine. Are you using a different computer, or new install of Carbide Motion?
