I am very frustrated. Since I updated to v7 several, months ago, I save my files just like I have for years. But when I go to open a file saved in v7, all that comes up is a white square box. I have to go in and completely redesign the piece and when im finished, I save again under save as, save G code, and save. the next day I return to open and get just the white box. Im regretting updating as i never had this problem in v6. Any advise appreciated.
Where are you saving the files to?
Is there an accent in the filepath or filename?
Post the file to support@carbide3d.com and we will look into this with you.
I’m clicking “save as” in the file menu.
Then all my CC files pop up in the folder.
I then chose the name and then click save at the bottom. It shows the file name with c2d* at the end.
Before I update, it would show a .nc
Or if saving the g-code it would say .gc
Later I return to use the file and when I open it, the file name shows up at the top but it’s just the white box.
I’m currently redoing the file and will upload it to you when I finish it. Btw thank you for responding so quickly.
Set your OS to display file extensions.
