Maybe not the right channel for this, but it’s a request to C3D. Please move to appropriate category if needed.
I’ve seen a post or two from here and reddit about finding random set screws in the work area and wondering where they came from. It finally happened to me. And I just so happened to fall on my X gantry right in the path of my v-wheels, shifting my whole project to the right and causing damage to my belt. Where it fell indicates it came from the upper rear area of my HDZ. I looked through the guides to see if there was a spot to adjust set screws and didn’t see anything. I looked all over my z-plate to see if I could see where it came from, but didn’t see anything. Next step I guess is to pull my z-axis off and look it over.
So what I’m asking from C3D is a pictorial of where to look to find set screws or other small hardware that comes pre-assembled. Or a maintenance checklist that covers those small parts. If there is something like that already, I apologize.
Some people replace the tiny headed setscrews with cap screws. I think it is 3mm X 10MM cap screw. I remember it is 10MM long but the diameter is coming from my shaky memory. The reason is about tightening. The tiny metric allen head can strip out and it is hard to tighten those tiny little screws. So replacing it with a cap screw you get better tightening because it is larger wrench. Just dont over do it because the pulley is aluminum
