Setting Zero Memory

I was thinking about this because I want to switch jobs, use another section of the table and not lose my origin of the original job.

I thought if I put located the router at the current XY job origin, then cleared the offsets, then recorded the machine coordinates.

I thought I could get back to the original job origin by entering the machine coordinates, then setting Zero on the X and Y axis.

Comments ? Laughs ?

This is a reasonable approach. If you want you could record the previous job origin into a Quick Action that would take you to that position.

To get the machine co-ordinates in CM, you don’t have to Clear Offsets. You can click on the text ‘Position’, and it will switch to showing the Machine Co-ordinates.

Finally, if you have to re-initialize for any reason, then you are subject to the precision of your homing switches - they may not trigger at exactly the same place, and so you can be off by that amount.
