does anyone know if the 5 can turn the router on/off for something like bit changes? I have an older 3 and get by with manually turning the router on/off. Tnx

Yep, the BitRunner or our VFD can both do that. Though depending on your board, both can be used on the shapeoko 3 as well.

Emailed support with a picture of my board. Hopefully my board will support this gizmo.
To be clear, the SO5 Pro has a connector for the Bitrunner/VFD (and includes an adapter cable for them).
It’s older SO3s which might need an updated controller so as to have a BitRunner connector.
