Shapeoko 3 homes when starting a job

After connecting to the machine in carbide motion I initialize the machine. It goes through the process fine of going from home wanting a tool change going to the bit setter and back to the front center. I send it to SW corner to find my x and y 0 and z 0 so I can surface the spoil board. It will go to SW sometimes letting me jog it to where I need it and most times doing nothing. The times it will let me zero it I can go through the entire process like normal and when I hit start it goes directly to home and starts the grinding sound and begins moving in a single square movement staying in the corner. Any ideas of what may be happening?

Please post the .c2d file, step-by-step notes on how you are securing your stock and setting zero to it and managing all tool changes, and a photo showing an attempt at cutting still in place on the machine.

For each step let us know:

  • what you did
  • what you expected
  • what actually happened
