My machine is in the home position and will move in the Z axis but not x or y. Very green yet. What am I missing?

Expanding on your post:
What do you consider the ‘home position’ to be, and how did the machine get there? Did it move in X/Y when homing?
(edit: also, if you are jogging, be sure to select “fast” (or hit the 4 key) to make sure you aren’t jogging at sub-millimetre increments)

Thank you for the response. I just hooked up a new computer and and not set it up so just a rookie mistake. However, can you tell if there is a way to abandon a job in carbide motion?
Use the pause or the stop button.
