Just recently I purchased the 5 Pro 4x4. Got it built and in its final place. All wired up and plugged into my computer. Downloaded carbide create and carbide motion. Tried the set up wizard and it cant connect or find the machine. (Everything is on and plugged in) I am currently using a Macbook M2 with an adapter to usb c.
What would be the best option for troubleshooting this issue?
Also what are the 12 letter and number combination on the back of the gantry for?
Since this is new it could be the controller. However I would first look at the computer. during Cc/CM install drivers for the controller are loaded. Try removing CM and reinstalling it. Also reboot your computer before you try to connect again. It could possible be your USB adapter but there are many USB A to c converters. Try using your current USB connector on another device to make sure it works. Most cell phones are USB c now but on Android you have to go into settings and usb to allow downloads/connection. Go into phone settings and search for USB. There are many options for usb connections. On your PC (Windows) go to settings and search USB. Also on a PC search for device manager and see what your USB devices can see.
