This might be a silly question but what is this used for?
Kind like a picatinny rail on a gun. Whatever accessory you want to attach there. Mist coolant, laser alignment, laser head, … You may have to make your own dovetail mount.

It’s a pretty useful feature. I designed and printed mounts for it to hold my mist coolant system as well as a camera. I also made a mount adaptor for my sweepy to use it to adjust up or down instead of using the cams, which were limiting the adjustment range when using longer bits and aren’t reliable without constant re-adjusting. This works much better for me and is rock solid.
Works out well, when I’m using the mister with an air/alcohol mix for metal the sweepy isn’t used and vice versa so they don’t get in each others way. The use of the dovetail is pretty much limited only by your imagination.

Thanks really could not find anything on it!
While you can’t see it well here, I used the dovetail slot to secure a mount where I fitted a solenoid and two air cylinders for my automated dust boot.
