I have shapeoko 5 pro. The issue is when homing some times it will not home. I appears the y axis is out of alignment by about .125 when it comes forward. How do I adjust this?
I would first verify that both inductive Y end stops are triggering. With the carriage forward take something metal like a screwdriver and bring it in front of each end stop. The light on the end stop should light up when the screw driver is close to it. If it doesn’t then there is probably a wiring issue. If the light triggers but does so at wildly different distances then one or both of the end stops are miscalibrated. If they are triggering at the same distance it is possible that your machine is not square and you should redo the squaring procedure from the initial setup. You should also contact Cardbide3D’s support as should have more in depth troubleshooting steps and can send you replacement parts if necessary.
What I found was the bracket that holds the drag chain and limit switch on right rear had the mounting holes drilled wrong, So the screws that go through the drag chain mount, bracket, into the limit switch would not secure the switch, which caused the switch to move. shaved out the holes so it would sit down and let home. Now all is good.
