Shapeoko Pro and BitZero, Bitrunner?

Got my machine today, assembled in under 2 hours! Unfortunately real work interferes and I didn’t get to cut anything tonight. It is amazingly easy to assemble even without written instructions. Winston’s video was a huge help for the couple of confusing things, but super easy. Much easier than the old machine. Those machined table braces and end caps are amazing!!

How/where do you install the the bitzero and bitrunner? With those linear rails it’s not clear where to mount them. I see the connector for the runner…I’m assuming it’s super obvious and I’m just overlooking it.

Superbly done, guys! Really an outstanding piece of kit!!!

There is a plug on the board labeled BitZero. White plug, three prongs, around the middle of the board if I remember right. I believe there is also a plug actually labeled BitRunner on the board as well.

I guess the question was more how to attach them mechanically to the machine ?
Maybe @Luke can comment.

Many people have crafted some kind of custom holder for the Bitzero. Since you move it all the time in and out of the work area, it does not really matter where you store it, just somewhere accessible.

For the BitRunner that is a good question (considering the side rails now), but even on my regular Shapeoko where it can be attached to the side of the rail, I chose to attach it further away from the machine, outside of the enclosure, for easier access to the OFF/AUTO/ON button.

The BitSetter would be removed from the work area so there is not a ‘Fixed’ mounting point for it.

I thought there was a position for the BitRunner to mount to the left side rail, but @edwardrford or @wmoy can confirm.

Yes, how to attach the BitRunner specifically. The BitZero, I have a holder for.

Thanks for the help!

hopefully they can answer… however I may mount on the wall near the machine in the meantime. Thank you for helping!
