Shapeoko pro not connecting

Purchased a used pro xxl
Cnc worked perfect before I moved it on the guys Mac
(We moved it very very carefully)

I get it home and power it up. Steppers working, lue light on controller , blue light on face of cnc, vfd making its normal buzzing.

When I plug into my laptops(plural because I’ve tried 2 win 11 machines and one MacBook) each see the device and show them having drivers installed already.

I got thru the wizard of setting up new machine, and it tells me busy- then after some waiting it finally says to make sure the machine is turned on.

I tried the reset button on the controller, I’ve tried unplugging and waiting 30 mins, tried multiple cables with and without ferrite rings,
The pcs definitely see the matching being turned on and off and unplugged and plugged back in but it won’t let me connect to carbide motion.
Even tried deleting and reinstalling CM

I’m at my wits end and basically have an expensive paper weight.

Called and spoke to a cool dude that walked me thru basically everything I tried before calling and this machine still isn’t working.

Told me to try the Mac, and call back but the Mac acted the same.

Any help would be appreciated

If unplugging won’t reset things to allow to connect and multiple computers won’t connect, then the most likely thing which happened was that the controller was damaged during the move — the stepper drivers work as generators and can push up sufficient current to damage a controller:

If that doesn’t get you connecting, then it could be that the power supply is what is bad.

Was it the same cable in all the testing you did? On the off chance there are problems with the USB cable you might want to switch it out.
