I have the Shapeoko Pro XXL and now when I load a new file it continues to run the same old file. I go through the entire set up on the machine, I zero the machine, load tool and measure the tool, load file, jog machine, then run. And I get the same old file that runs when it shows it loaded the new file. Hoping someone can tell me if it’s me or something else? I am taking the pdf file and converting it to a svg then load it.
Just confirming… You created new toolpaths when you imported the artwork?
Hi Neil,
Thanks for your response. Yes sir I am creating new files and then opening carbide motion and loading it to the machine. I have had my shapeoko for two years but have not used it much in the last few months. I pretty much had no problems in the past, but for some reason I have this issue now. I cleared out carbide motion out and carbide create and reloaded it and now same old tool path. I have a tech calling me today to talk about it and see what I might be doing wrong. I will say this I have been doing the same as in the past with the machine except for one thing that changed was measuring the tool? The problem in the past was I wasn’t measuring the tool at the bit setter, started doing that and it worked great then this issue? Neil, once I talk to the tec I will update you what the fix is for your own information.
Thank you Sir,
Enjoy your day I sure HOPE to. ;0}
Hi Neil,
I wanted to update you about the problem I was having. I thank you for your help first. I got some help from the carbide pro Mr Fleming. I have cut many projects out in the past and stopped for awhile, when I went back to start a new project when setting up to start cutting in carbide motion I would zero the machine but when it came to (save all zeros) I did not. I had forgotten to do this as I have done in the past. I am calling this mistake on my part as a old age thing. lol
Thanks enjoy your day!
