I am confused. When I run a file with an endmill set at 0.1" it cuts at 0.1". When I switch the bit to a Vee 301 and zero the height, the Vee cuts much deeper. Maybe 2x. Why is this? Same CC file, and not telling CC of any bit change.
Are you setting a flat depth for the vee bit? If not, the vee bit will cut as deep as it needs to be to reach both sides of the carve. If the lines are very close, the bit will cut very shallow, but if the lines are far apart the bit will have to go much deeper to reach both sides.
Please post the .c2d file, generated G-Code, step-by-step notes on how you are securing your stock and setting zero relative to it and managing all tool changes and a photo showing an attempt at cutting still in place on the machine and we will do our best to assist.
VEE bit, probe goes on top of the material, not edge.
