Here are the steps that I do and these are the errors I receive.
Initialize Machine:
Limit Switch Error (x)
GRBL Error:Homing failed, pull off didn’t clear
Homing Cycle Failed.

You likely need to adjust the position of your X homing sensor. It is a hall effect switch and proximity triggers the switch. There are adjustment screws to move the sensor closer. Manually move the gantry to the homing position and adjust the switch.

You could just have a flaky switch or a wiring issue as well.
