David. I think your price is about right. I live in East Texas right by Louisiana and I have sold a lot of woodworking machines on craigslist. I set the price and I almost always sell it at full price. However I add in 10% just so the buyer thinks they are getting a good deal. Since you are so close to Houston someone will buy it. I have had people come all the way up her to buy bandsaws, oscillating sanders, lathes (5) and more.
If you have not already listed it on craigslist do not put your address. I put my phone number so people can text or call. You can weed out the scammers because they wont know what a Shapeoko is Sometimes it is 30-40 days but the first person that comes to actually look buys the equipment.
FYI a Shapeoko xxl will fit in the back seat of a 4 door pickup. Obviously in the bed. Have them remove the router so it is not bouncing down I10 on the way home.
Thanks for the information and advice. I have yet to place it on Craigslist but can attest to the suggestions for Craigslist, seller beware. I have sold many items on Craigslist and yes, I am always very cautious and careful.
