I just assembled my CNC and everything turns on, the carbide motion SW can connect to the printer. In the following screen the limit switch Y2 seems to be always on.
So obviously when I press initialize machine, the machine moves and then say Carbide Motion was enable to move off the limit switches, …
I checked unplugging all the switches and they seem to be all on, replaced the Y2 switch with the new one, and tested that the cable harness is properly conductive up to the control box connector.
I had this exact same issue, it required a new control board. Also check if your bitsetter has similar symptoms, mine needed to have the front panel replaced because of a wrong resistor used in it or something.
