Share a file with me

Does anyone have this file they would share with me. I have no idea how to create it.

thanks
Kevin

Well…it looks flat. So we would start with a circle. Then we would draw the cutting board, and duplicate it three times. Center the three to the circle, and trim off the excess.

After that, we need to cut out the upper (now semi) circle and the cutting boards separately since the kerf of your endmill will show…

Here is where I am to and stuck from there. How do I flatten inner shoulders, then do toolpath?

Thanks
Kevin

This is the perfect thing to use the Trim Vectors tool for.

Start by duplicating everything to a new layer (for reference/possible re-use):

copy-paste (with the cursor outside the drawing area)

Make the new layer:

and move the selected geometry to it:

then hide or lock the layer:

Select everything and use Trim Vectors:

to make two parts at a time:

Note that for some areas it will be necessary to zoom in:

arriving at:

OK

OK

Ungroup:

Duplicate the center cutting board:

and Join Vectors

Yes

shift-click on the circle to add it to the selection:

and Group Vectors:

which completes the center board:

Since the boards are not symmetrical, it will be necessary to draw a line from one end to the other:

Done

and then use Trim Vectors to cut things off:

OK

OK

which then requires that one re-draw the line and shift it over slightly:

pressing an arrow key will move over one grid unit:

Use Trim Vectors to finish the trimming:

OK

Select and join the parts of the upper outline:

Yes

Repeat this process with the outer boards:

(easiest just to hide the Default layer)

first un-grouping the boards:

and only working with left/right:

OK

OK

then use Join Vectors to close:

Yes

then the original central board may be deleted and the trimmed one moved into place:
