I have created an image/toolpath by tracing a background image. This image cuts perfectly. I would like to be able to save that image and use in other files. Is there a way to do that?

Export as an SVG, then reimport that image into other files (Import using the Library command into existing files).
You can also save a Carbide Create file that you use as a template for other projects. Lets say you have the background for a sign that looks like a car or a house that you use to make a personalized sign. Save the backgound image as a Carbide Create called car template that you will open when you start a project then use the Save As function to rename it before you make changes and incorporate personalization (save at the end too).
