has anyone experienced these small circles in their projects? I used a 60 degree v bit set to stock bottom. Thank you.
Are you using Carbide Create? If so, attach the C2D file here so we can look at it.
What bit did you use? I have had a similar issue. It was due to me using the wrong bit, and the wood was flexing.
If the wood is not 100% secure, a .25 EM can push the stock down, but when you run the V-bit pass, the stock does not get pushed down, so the V-Carve portion of the Cut is slightly shallower than the EM portion.
Does your v-bit use a replaceable insert? It almost looks like the tip is off center, causing the circles.
Any chance you’re using Advanced V-carve, and choosing a v-bit for the pocket operation instead of an end mill? Regular v-carve would leave the bottom with the angle of your bit.
I used a 302 60deg. v bit. I will make sure my stock is secure, that may be the issue. I also only put the end mill in the collet a short bit. Thank you
No definitely v carve. Thank you.
