Is there a snap to grid toggle in V7 via shortcut or single button? The “snap to grid” button I’ve seen in old videos is gone. The only way I can see is the View menu.
The only control for this is the menu.
For a list of available shortcuts see:
Further question on keyboard shortcuts. Is there a trick to "nudge selected item one grid step? Because that doesn’t work for me on CC 778.
Select a vector and hit N, and then select a node.
Hit keyboard arrow keys.
Watch nothing happen.
I’d add a screenshot, but its like that “like this, but not hot” water picture.
Nudge w/ an arrow only works for a selected object/selection — it does not work in Node Edit mode for nodes.
so the process for making a rectangle larger by 2mm and shifting to the right by that amount would be:
- Make a vector.
- Align that vector to the “stable” side of the rectangle
- Resize the rectangle 2mm
- Align the stable side of the rectangle to the vector
- delete the vector.
Is there a better way?
oh wait. you just told me.
resize the rectangle by 2mm, then select it and hit the arrow key once, assuming the grid is set to 1mm.
