Has anyone successfully gotten good results from this yet? I tried the hawk ridge (free) downloadable post and got it to sort of work but had depth issues.
Also I’ve upgraded to the HDZ which would change the settings so I haven’t tried lately. Any feedback would be much appreciated!
How do the files preview?
Usually depth problems are mechanical — esp. when slotting — but you can reduce such issues by reducing tooling engagement by adding geometry or modifying the toolpaths to avoid slotting.
If that’s not it, post the file?
Are you using SolidWorks CAM? I started with that but switched to free HSMXpress for Solidworks. I didn’t use SW CAM for long but I didn’t have any issues when I did.
