Working on a prototype of a spherical ball with spikes illusion. I cut the female pocket today from baltic birch plywood. Later I cut the male parts out of black walnut. However I forgot to flip the male parts. Since the female side is plywood I flipped that and will recut that.
The spikes were rearranged to not waste so much walnut. Plus this is just an experiment. I did number the spikes 1-12 in CC so I will be able to glue them in in the correct order.
Will post when done. Likely wont get back to this until Tuesday because I have to go to Houston, Texas tomorrow. Dreading the trip because of traffic, traffic, traffic, traffic and crazy people. Glad I live in the country where my biggest traffic jam is getting up to the main highway and there are 2 cars in front of me at the stop sign.
