I have had problems with my spindle slowing down when it is near the left most x and y no position.
I have been making an oval drop tray and when the spindle makes that curve starting up from the lower left position the spindle slows significantly. It even stopped spinning the first time it happened.
Using a 1" rockler dish bit at 10000rpm cutting 0.05" per pass.
These settings have worked in the past.
Two thoughts:
1 - Have you surfaced your MDF? If your table is a little high in that corner, that means you might be unintentionally forcing the machine to cut deeper on that side and bogging it down.
2 - 10k RPM is really low, and you’re making the VFD work outside of its power band and pretty close to its minimum. Can you use a higher RPM without burning the wood? ~14-16k? The VFD will be much happier at that speed and have more room to recover if the RPM dips…

What happens if you ‘air cut’ into the same region?
It could be a problem with your wiring. How is the spindle cable run? Being at one end of the travel may mean that how the cables are flexed at that point is causing problems in a connector.
