I am setting up my new shapoko pro 5. I got the spindle and I cannot find any information on how high to mount it on the z carriage.
@WillAdams usually advises to put the shortest tool in that you have and then mount the spindle low enough that the tool can still reach the spoilboard.

Thank you. I have looked every where and that is skipped over.
My 80mm spindle came installed and it was centered in the mount. There is a line on the spindle under the logo, and it was aligned with the top of the mount.
However, I have moved it many times since then. Cullen’s (Will’s) suggestion works well if most of your jobs are short & directly on the table. If you have a taller job, or a fixture or vise, you may need to move it up.
I will keep that in mind I have the 65mm and I didn’t see the line you talked about. I am overwhelmed just a little. I hope to get some experience on this so I can help as much as you guys are helping me.
