Hey yall
Pro XXL is all set up, XYZ all move properly when controlled by carbide motion, all plugs/wires are connected properly to my knowledge.
The VFD main side switch next to the power cord plug is on, which turns the screen on, and the front circular push-button turns red when pressed in.
Now, I’ve read a bunch on these forums that say the screen should say 0.0 when turned on initially. Mine says anywhere from 4.0 to 175.0ish depending on the if CNC is powered on or not. When I perform the “warm-up” cycle through carbide motion, the spindle does not spin. When I push the “jog” button on the VFD below the screen, that’s the only way I get some motion out of the spindle as it turns the spindle and shows “1200” but then clears and the spindle stops once I release the “jog” button.
I have the VFD plug plugged into its own standard 110 wall outlet in my garage.
I know the VFD turns on, and that there’s some sort of connectivity due to the “jog” button moving the spindle slightly…just not to the 10,000 rpm when inputting the MDI on carbide motion.
I’d rather not spend another $750+ for another new unit, and can’t find just the VFD alone without purchasing the spindle package.
