No matter how I try I can’t get the cutter over to square the face edge of the Zero Clearence guides that I downloaded from Cut Rocket. I tried 1/4 end mill and a surfacing fly cutter.

The step to mill the left edge of the guide I can’t figure out. I thought one could do it by starting the spindle in Carbide Motion and then manually run the cutter on the y-axis so that the guides were parallel to the machine. While I could start the spindle manually in CM, the spindle shut off when I tried to do this.
I think it works if you use a router but not if you use a spindle. Although I hear that the button to turn on the spindle/router has even been removed from the latest CM version.
You can just create a program in CC to run the length and take a tiny bite and set zero appropriately in CM.
