Why have the Stock to Leave feature and Tabs available together if the former removes the latter? I have read the previous thread on this and since it is closed I am opening this one to emphasise that this is still a bug 8 months later.
Yes, I can create an additional slightly larger path for roughing and then run another contour at full depth for my finish cut, but it sure would be convenient to be able to use the same path - which is why I am guessing the Stock to Leave feature was put in.
Is there any chance of this being fixed or should I just expect to thug it out with multiple paths?
I cut a 2" square with a 1/4" tool. I increate the tabs up to 0.750" and they still cut in V8
Though, oddly the tabs keep getting wider with more stock to leave…???
I didn’t know there was a beta of V8 out. I tried it and the issue of stock to leave causing the tabs to disappear looks to be fixed. As you say, the stock to leave affects the size of the tabs. Whether that is a bug or not is arguable. The stock to leave that I typically use is small and so it’s really not an issue for me. Not having the tabs disappear however is a definite win.
