I have a Shapeoko 5 with Sweepy Pro. Sweepy has a magnetic base that attaches to the bottom but it can’t be on when measuring tools.
1)Measure bitzero probing pin with bit setter.
2)Zero my axes with bitzero.
3)Select run job
4)Put in the tool I need
5)Measure that tool with bit setter.
6)Spindle moves off to the side, spindle starts and away it go’s.
Is there a way to tell Fusion 360 or Carbide Motion to pause and don’t start the spindle in-between step 5 and 6 so I can attach the base?
I believe that in the “Settings” screen, if you select router instead of spindle it will do that pause.
I have that selected for sure. I don’t think the spindle would work at all if I didn’t. It’s not really a big deal. It waits for the spindle spool up before it takes off so for 3 seconds it’s not a moving target.
The spindle works with either setting. The “Router” setting makes it pause so that you could turn on the router. The “Spindle” setting assumes the spindle will automatically turn on, so it doesn’t pause. So if you want it to pause before cutting use the “Router” (without BitRunner) setting and NOT the “Spindle” setting.
